NIFAD was founded and organized in 1976 as an association of independent distributors of fire alarm and related fire warning systems for mutual benefit. We work together and collaborate on a variety of ideas and problems, and strive to provide technical, marketing, safety, and promotional information to our members.
- Our ESD membership includes nationwide Engineered Systems Distributors and Integrators.
- Our Supplier Membership includes worldwide manufacturers and suppliers of fire system equipment who support and contribute to our goals.
- Our AHJ Membership includes Nationwide Fire Officials.
NIFAD - OUR INTENTIONS
- To establish, maintain, and conduct an association composed primarily of Industry representatives/sellers/buyers of fire alarms and other related fire and suppression systems and devices.
- To assist our member base in the collaboration, promotion of the demand for and the sale of fire alarms and related products, by promotional work.
- To represent Members and their interests in common in state and federal agencies, the market, and before the public.
- To circulate books, e-mail blasts, pamphlets, periodicals, papers, and magazines in connection with the activities of the corporation.
- To offer educational and promotional webinars to our Members.
- To bring both Buyers and Sellers together during the year via marketing and communication tools and at our Annual Conference via networking events and our well-known, Supplier Round Table Exchange and the ESD Exchange (Must login to access ESD Exchange).
- To conduct or engage in all lawful activities in furtherance of or incident to the foregoing purposes, including without limitation the exercise of any and every power for which a not-for-profit corporation organized under the Illinois General Not For Profit Corporation Act and Massachusetts Non-Profit Guidelines can be authorized to exercise which is not inconsistent with such purposes.
